Scam Shield is a personal tool used only by its owner, on the owner's own Gmail account.

What it accesses

With the owner's permission, Scam Shield uses the Gmail API with read-only access (gmail.readonly) to read messages, mainly those in the Spam folder, so it can check them for scams.

How data is used and stored

• Messages are saved and analyzed only on the owner's own computer.
• Scam Shield never sends, deletes, or changes any email.
• Data is not sold, shared, or transferred to anyone, and is not used for advertising.
• Data obtained from Google APIs is not used to train general-purpose AI or machine learning models.

Scam Shield's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
